Who is a Sexual Advisor?
Seksualvejleder foreningen i Danmark (The Danish Association of Sexual Advisors) was founded in 1998 and has for more than 25 years brought together sexual advisors and professionals who work to support people’s sexuality in a professional context.

Whether it concerns children, young people, adults or elderly people. And whether the challenges are physical, cognitive, psychiatric, chronic or temporary, the aim is to create safety, knowledge and positive conditions for sexual life, which is a natural and valuable part of every human being. The person involved, relatives and professionals may all need support in understanding, acknowledging and developing sexuality as a resource in life.

The association consists of trained sexual advisors and professionals with an interest in the field.

We work to:

  • spread knowledge about sexuality as a natural and healthy part of life
  • promote the message ”Seksualitet for alle” (“Sexuality for All”)
  • strengthen competence among sexual advisors
  • create networks and development across professional groups
  • acknowledge and further develop training opportunities

Each spring, the association hosts a two-day conference with professional presentations and its annual meeting, open to all with an interest. The conference is in Danish.
